Something a bit different - Cards

Although I'm not a big card maker, I do send them, just like everyone else. So today, thanks to the fantastic SVGcuts I decided to increase my stash.   I'd never heard of box cards , they fold flat to go into the envelope (which I also make), but are nicely multi-dimensional when folded out.  So here are today's big makes! Hope you like......

Vintage Style: Sewing

Hi All

This weekend I have concentrated on getting a 70th Birthday Card and holder ready for my Mums Big day at the end of February.  Job Done.

My mum has been sewing all of her life and to this day makes light work of all the family's required alterations (somebody always needs something shortened in our family)!  I hope you think this is suitable.  I made the box big enough to hold the card and a gift, when I finally settle on something suitable.  This is from the SVGCuts Sew Crafty  files, but enlarged by 70%.       The papers used in the main are from the Do Crafts Happy Days Range.

These last photos' show the couple of little projects that filled my Sunday afternoon :-)

Have a great week, don't work too hard and don't go telling my Mum about her card!

Hi All

I'll cut the waffle this week and just give you some pics!  All SVGCuts.com files with a mixture of papers and card; rhinestones and flowers and even a feather!  Including a couple of pics of where my craftiness happens.

Have a great week.

A Busy New Year

Hi Everyone and Happy New Year to you all!

I've had a busy Christmas and New Year period, needless to say unwrapping all my crafty goodies from Santa Claus (thanks Husband dearest) but also  having my annual New Year tidy up of my craft room.  Following that I had some time away from work and my uni course  to get down to some serious crafting.  All of the projects photographed below have been made with high quality (but sooo reasonably priced) card from Papercutz using SVGcuts files, the Ice Skate was free as a Christmas Present to all their customers - Thanks SVGcuts!     This year I do hope to do better with blogging my crafty works, it's not a resolution as such,  as that according to my own history would be broken by now- more a ' must do better ' aim for me.

Enjoy the pictures, see you soon

Dancing on Ice Style

Cinderella's Pumpkin Carriage

Cinderella's Castle Home

A Wise Modern Owl

All of the projects are gift boxes or holders, the ice skate boot is hollow, the owl's head is removable , the castle's three middle towers are attached to the lid of a central gift box and the carriage's pumpkin lid is removable.  The owl has already flown off to a delighted purchaser.

Champagne!

It's been a while, my promise of blogging every week is just not going to happen, basically because at the moment, whilst I am crafting every week , so much of it is gifts and as such I can't really share with you.  I've spent hours of course making Christmas Cards too, but I don't really want to put pics of them on until they've gone out to everyone......This week then was about finishing a wreath which has been about a year and a bit in the making.  It is a gift for someone, they know who they are, on the other hand it's not a gift as they have supplied more than half of the corks.......Quite pleased with it, what do you think?  If it had been for just Christmas time, I may have added some holly or even nuts between the corks, but I think I like it just the way it is....

Have a great week, don't work too hard
